Im not sure what they are training for, but ive counted four choppers. They are running dark so I cant tell the silhouettes for sure. Judging by silhouettes, I count 2 Blackhawks, a little bird, and possibly an Apache.
Holy shit the blackhawks are loud!

I love how people are freaking out about it. I heard on the local news that there are people trying to organize a protest over it. I wish I could hear them, but I'm in the suburbs.

I first noticed them on my run down by the river last night. Blackhawk buzzed overhead at maybe 250ft. Close enough for me to make out the guy sitting on the door gun even at night!

"Some Minneapolis residents said they saw people rappelling from helicopters onto the Federal Reserve Bank"
That would have been badass to watch!

I mean, it does sound like a military show of force as an intimidation tactic...

Maybe to some people. I just think its plain awesome to watch from my balcony.

It does seem like that would just provoke people

No. It's called a military exercise. Jesus Christ, people.

It wouldn't be the first time. Not sure why the military feels the need to let off gatling guns at 11 PM at night in downtown Miami. They have urban warefare training facilities for this sort of thing!

When I lived in Richmond, the Marines practiced landings in a field nearby. They straight up landed a bunch of Ospreys and CH-53s there, idled for a bit, then took off several times a day for about a week. It was pretty awesome.
